Robert Trăilescu is a founding partner at Counselors and a seasoned attorney with a proven track record in consultancy and litigation projects, arising from a variety of cases in the fields of corporate law, contract law, tax law, real estate law, labor and social security, IP law, immigration law, insolvency, public procurement etc.

Robert had also a 1-year stint as a Counsel to the Vice-president of Chambers of Deputes within the Romanian Parliament. Therein, Robert participated in the development of law projects pertaining to the energy sector, the digitalization of the public administration, labor law, regulatory proceedings, tax regulations etc.

Education

Robert earned both his Bachelor’s Degree in Law (2011) and Master’s Degree in Private Law (2012) from the prestigious University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law. He was admitted to the Bucharest Bar Association in January 2013. Robert's solid academic foundation underpins his expertise and commitment to delivering superior legal services to clients.

• Successfully challenging an EUR 5M+ tax assessment before the Romanian Tax Agency (ANAF), achieving a favorable outcome for a local client with business in the energy sector.

• Assisting a real estate company in all stages of the building process of a EUR 7M+ residential project, from the initial phase of land acquisition to the delivery of apartments to clients.

• Assisting a multinational European company acting in the HR field with restructuring its Romanian branch, aligning their business strategy with regulatory requirements.

• Representing 150+ clients in a class-action dispute for their right deriving from the Collective Labor Agreement concluded with the employer.
